ChiroPulse - Resetting / Recreating the Pulse ODBC entry

Use the procedures outlined below as instructed by the Tech articles or support staff. It can be done periodically to refresh and clean out the Pulse database connection thru Windows ODBC.

 

Open Data Adminstrator:
From the Start Menu --> RUN
type in odbcad32 and press open/enter.

   alternate method:
From the Windows Control Panel - (Start Menu --> Settings --> Control Panel) open 32-bit ODBC Data Sources

Select Pulse from the list and press REMOVE

 

Press YES to confirm the removal

Press OK to close the ODBC Window

 

 

 
Login to ChiroPulse and notice the Select Database message

Select the pulse database

pulsedb.mdb

   

 


ChiroPulse - Creating an ODBC entry manually - Use the procedures outlined below when Windows is having a difficult time establishing the initial ChiroPulse ODBC database entry

From the Windows Control Panel
(Start Menu --> Settings --> Control Panel)
open the 32-bit ODBC Data Sources icon

Click the ADD button.

Select Microsoft Access Driver and press Finish

Enter pulse in the data source namel

Now press the SELECT button

Navigate to the c:\pulse directory and select the database file.
demo.mdb is for trial users
pulsedb.mdb is used by customers

Press OK and OK again then exit the Control Panel

Restart ChiroPulse and at the login window the database
will be recognized and visible.
